Nylon is a high quality rope made from the strongest synthetic fibers used in rope manufacturing. Nylon’s excellent elasticity, strength and shock absorbency make it the strongest of all standard synthetic ropes. After it is stretched, it will return to its original length (referred to as "memory"), and that is why nylon is ideal for absorbing shock loads. It has excellent abrasion resistance, superior resistance to acids and alkalis and to ultraviolet deterioration from sunlight. Finally, as a synthetic fiber, it will last several times longer than natural fibers such as manila.
Tytan stocks two types of nylon ropes.
We stock 3-strand twisted nylon in many diameters starting at 3/16".
In addition to 3-strand, Tytan also stocks 8-strand nylon mooring lines. Typical applications include: Tow lines, mooring lines, anchor lines, commercial fishing
